my guilty pleasure .
had it for a year now . my goodness we wouldn't survive the cape heat and humidity without it! . we fill the bottom with water and freeze it over night , then add enough water to get the pump going and let the ice melt , has kept my wfh setup extremely comfortable. sleep mode is an amazing white noise machine along with the cooling .not as effective with normal (room temperature) water but still absolutely fantastic. the remote is the cherry on top. still using the batteries it came with. don't really use the BT speakers but it's a neat party trick . I spent a week going through similar products before I got this one. will consider buying more in the future for my parents .

excellent buy!
I stay in a very hot province where it gets up to 45° and we can't afford an Aircon but I bought this air cooler and it's definitely worth it. it cools down the room, it plays music and its absolutely worth the money. I'll definitely repurchase. This air cooler can bring the room temp down to 20°

Works as well as can be expected
I will ignore the BT speakers, since I have no idea what they are doing in an evaporative cooler. The cooler itself is compact. The air it produces is definitely cooler than a fan, but you must keep in mind this is NOT an air-con - you will NOT create a winter wonderland with this thing. Positioned in front of a bed, in a small bedroom, you will feel it. In other areas you will also want it fairly close to you. Worth noting also that these appliances want "flow throw" - hot dry air must be able to enter at one point, cooler moist air must be able to exist at another point. Without that, the space will become more damp than you like. It is not very quiet when operational, but I will note it has a "sleep" mode that essentially reduces fan speed, and thus noise level. My kids, and myself can sleep with it going full blast. Adding water from the top is a bit iffy - the opening and space is not very large. But it can be done. The required maintenance (cleaning the evaporative pad) seems easy enough, but note it will need replacement at some future time (estimates vary wildly though, so I don't know how long they last). For a small space, or personal cooling option, this is value for money, especially if you take the power use and environmental impact in consideration (for both, far less than compressor-based air-cons)
