Canon has created an amazing camera at an amazing price. However they have purposely handicapped the consumer by removing a very simple but important feature, there is a steel circle on the top of the camera known as a sync plate with allows the camera to work with a range of 3rd party flashes and studio lighting. If you only want to buy canon products to use with this camera then it’s a good choice, if you want more choice in add ons and gadgets it’s not.
