Makes beautiful DIY Christmas cookie decorating kits

I paid a lot of money for Gingerbread house decorating kits from a bakery for our family's 6 kids 2 years ago (they were aged between 2 to 8 then), but it was an epic fail. Mainly because frustrations ran high when the roofs and walls kept collapsing and then NONE of the kids actually ate any of the gingerbread cookies (because they did not like the strong spicy taste). So I decided to rather make them a cookie decorating kit using our grandmother's standard "soetkoekie" recipe and a basic royal icing recipe I got online. Last year these were a huge success.The kids decorated for an hour on Christmas morning and then smashed all the cookies throughout the day (unfortunately?) but I used standard white boxes from a baking supply store. This year I bought these boxes and my sisters first question when she saw them was "where did you buy these beautiful kits?". These boxes really make our DIY kit look professional. They were extremely easy to assemble and they came with a beautiful candy cane coloured rope and tags to wrap the boxes so they look like gift boxes. I am definitely getting more of these for our next Christmas' cookie decorating kits.

The boxes are lovely but slightly less sturdy than I would have imagined. Not a major problem because I can add a firm piece of cardboard in the bottom of the box.
