Torn backrest and unable to return
Bench backrest is torn. I didn’t see it before assembling the bench. I just did a checklist to see if all items are present and they were so I went on to open the screws and assembled everything. By the time I go to the backrest, that’s when I saw the tear. When I read through the return policy, it stated that I could only return if everything is still in its original packaging and resalable. However, the screws were already open and there was no way to open them without cutting off the packaging. So now I’m stuck with a backrest that’s torn. The faux leather quality is soooo poor. It’s very thin and cheap. Inside the backrest is thin padding on top of pressed wood that is not finished well as it has rough edges and is probably what tore the faux leather.
