Good alarm/thermometer with backlight
Happy with the purchase. The clock has clear digits, a thermometer and backlight. If you are sensitive to light at night then maybe this. Just a heads-up that it doesn't come with batteries (needs 3 AAA batteries).

I like this clock. The time is large and easily readable and it also has the date and temperature in smaller characters. The large snooze button is easy to press when you are half asleep in the morning. It also doubles as a light which turns itself off after 5 seconds. There is a sensor button on the back. When enabled, this keeps the backlight on all the time at a dim setting (when the room is dark enough), but I still find it too bright for me to sleep. Easy to set the time, date, alarm time and to enable and disable the alarm. The alarm sound starts off gently and gets more intense until you switch it off. Lightweight and needs 3 AAA batteries.

If the alarm volume is low, just return for exchange
I had one of these that was nice and loud - and had lasted me nearly two years. It was broken at the airport by careless luggage handlers. Now, when I bought a replacement I found that the volume if the alarm was very low. I returned for an exchange - the replacement is nice and loud. So, in summary - this is a reliable device in my experience, and the volume should be quite loud - if its not then you may have a slightly defective variant.
