Purchased the curtains for windows facing both outside and inside areas of our house. Works quite well. Windows facing inside - total blackout (with or without blinds. Windows facing outside with blinds closed - total blackout. However our windows facing outside with no blinds the light still comes through and the room is only somewhat dark. Still works better than other “blackout” curtains purchased for well over a thousand rand, so cannot complain. Would recommend hanging more than 2 curtains on a 1.7m wide window, for a fuller look and for a more “blackout” feeling, especially for windows facing outside. Other than that, happy with the purchase.
