Rit All-Purpose Liquid Dye - Black 236ml

VERY HAPPY WITH PRODUCT

I was hesitant about ding my own garments, but it's so expensive to get someone else to do it. I dyed a number of articles in my washing machine. I downloaded the RIT dye instructions from the internet and followed the instructions very carefully. I also bought RIT dye fixative (which Takelot unfortunately didn't have, but I managed to get some from a craft shop. I was also concerned that my washing machine might end up getting black, but again I followed the instructions for the post-dyeing process and it was fine. You must dye with hot water to get the best effect, and the items must be 100% cotton. I cannot vouch for items that are not 100% cotton, nor can I vouch for the success if you don't use hot water and fixative. I also now wash these items separately from the rest of my was, and I always wash them in cold water as there is a little leaching of the colour (black) into the wash water. Better to be safe than sorry!
